adding a plug in to live (and finding it in live after)

Hello I recently downloaded this free filter plug in from prosoniq's web site : north pole.

It is said to be compatible with Apple's logic and any AudioUnit compatible applications on the Macintosh.

Is Live such an application? If yes, any idea were I have to place it on my computer in order for Live to see it and be able to use it? If it may help, the uncompressed file has a .component extension...

Important! In lives preferences: Tab: File/Folders: use audio units = on
