Organizing warped clips in the browser

Post by xaviergray » Thu Sep 01, 2011 5:55 am

I've been working with a master template for my DJ sets, and it's getting to the point where it's simply too big - load times are getting ridiculous, to the point where I have to wait at least 10 minutes to launch any clips. As such, I've been trying to work out a way to store these warped clips in my library, but I've run into some problems. If I try to add batches of clips all at once to a folder in the library, it stores them in a .als file, and I cannot for the life of me, try as I may, separate the clips from this .als file. Is there any way to accomplish this? I don't want to have to rummage through several layers of .als menus to try and find specific songs each time I warp new tracks, and the only other way I can think of to do this would be to drag each clip individually into the file browser (which would take hours upon hours) Also, I can't add any more clips to the .als file either, so it's not like I could simply keep modifying that file by adding newly warped clips - if that was the case, I'd simply do that and not worry about it.

Anyone know any workarounds?

I haven't done this with warped tracks, but with Midi it does the same thing unless I do it one at a time. If I drag a midi I created in the browser it works.More then one it makes an .als fine... strange...

Hope that works.
