I can choose konkreet performer on the optionspage in live but it shows always red when I try to use loopmidi. (correction: red with ml channel 1 + 2 green with ml but doesn't work) Midijoke seems not to work at all on 64bit systems...

Any idea?

Micha, don't know if you got it working already, but in the meantime, there's a great post by one of our users on our forum to help out Win7/64bit users: http://konkreetlabs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=158

:D Yes, second to the core MIDI which we're currently working on, this was easily our most requested feature, so we thought it would be good to release it ahead of MIDI... enjoy!

Have massive problems with Konkreet Performer on my MacBook (Mid 2010 8 GB RAM)

As example:

Only one loop in the Ableton is loaded, no effects or whatever. If I move my finger in Performer, the CPU goes up to more than 100 %. That is weird as Griid and Touchable (with the XYZ-Pad) are working perfectly.. Same happens, if there is nothing in Ableton (8.2.6).

So, whats wrong? Any ideas?

Cheers,

sasha

Hmmm... that *is* weird, I was demoing Performer with Live 8.2.5 on a Mac all weekend and had no problems at all. Maybe something between 8.2.5 and 8.2.6, but I doubt it tbh. One thing to check for is MIDI loops - try deactivating all your MIDI outs from Live, both in Remote Surfaces and in the device list and see if the problem still happens...?

Feel free to post on the Konkreet Labs forum too ( http://konkreetlabs.com/forum/ ) if we need to investigate deeper - maybe post the rest of your set up (what osc/midi translator you're using, what you have midi mapped in Live).

Edit: just saw your post on the KL forum, will follow up there, cheers... :)

Any KP+Live users on OS X Lion out there? All working well? Any problems?

(been working with Sasha to find out the cause of his CPU issues in Live 8 - midi feedback loop? - but our set-ups are the same apart from us running Snow Leopard and him running Lion, so just want to eliminate the OS X version as a possible cause)

Looks like maybe we're not the only ones:

Ok, just an update from our further testing... we've isolated it to the Track In button in Live. If that's enabled, then every MIDI message that comes in makes a cumulative CPU load e.g. 10% CPU per MIDI note...

So it looks like you can keep using KP+Live+Lion for remote control of parameters, but not to play MIDI notes. It should be fine with the instant mapping remote surfaces enabled, with the Remote In enabled, but *not* with Track In enabled.

Just to say: Live 8.2.8 Release Notes:
Bugfixes: - Receiving MIDI CCs on a MIDI track’s input was causing a high CPU load on OS X Lion.
So all should be well now... Anyone care to try it out? :)
