Saving Iindividual Projects for remote computer ????

Post by pipelayer » Mon Sep 05, 2011 12:53 pm

I have a band and we would like to work on Ableton projects at each others locations. However, when I try and save a song to my USB Stick from my computer & Ableton Live app, then bring it up on my my buddies computer (on his Ableton Live - Same version)I get the "sample is off-ling warning."

What I would like to know is how to save an individual project (or song) on my USB stick or External hard drive and bring it up with all the tracks on my buddies computer with his version of Ableton Live so he can add his portion to the mix. Can anyone help me? Thank you-

after saving the project goto : file->collect all&save

in the prefs..
you can switch 'collect files on export'(in the 'file/folder' tab) ..to 'always'

hope this helps.
