How to unlink Device Control when launching clips the APC40

Hi everyone,

Basically i was wondering if there is a way of unlinking Clip Launch buttons from the Device Control knobs.. When i want to trigger a audio clip while filtering some FX for example, it will stop the FX on the original track and switch to the track where the clip has been launched. It would be great if there was a way to stop the track being selected?

Sorry if im a little vague im pretty new to Ableton!

I think you are talking about the Select On Launch preference. Right click on any Clip or go to Record Warp Launch Tab of the Preferences and turn off that pref. It is global regardless of how you do it.
