Notes not playing right away? Clicks and Pops why?

kinda a two part thread...

im seeing a delay before the sound kicks in from when the bar rolls over sample or midi note and im wondering how to fix this???

and im getting tons of clicks and pops from various samples and midi notes what would i be able to do to get rid of those???



any feedback would be slick

For starters, what are the specs of your computer and hard drive. Plus, what are you using as a soundcard?

Storage: 1.5TB hard drive
Optical Drive(s): DVD±RW; Blu-ray reader
Monitor: None
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5850 (1GB)
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

no soundcard yet just waiting to find a good one
this is also happening to a good friends tunes as well and he has a ton of gadjets in his studio
so just kinda wondering if there is a quick fix or what?

Have you ever tried 'asio4all' it is a soundcard driver that dedicates your card to a music program when the music program is open. You might also need to adjust the settings on it. In Preferences you choose the audio tab and select the asio drivers.
