Bit of a broad subject there fella. What are you specifically having issues with?

Try to re-create the songs your favorite artist make. Groove3's website has
a good tutorial on how to do this.
But you have the right idea, Kick, snare, clap, hats, bassline etc

honestly, as with any musical style, their isn't a set formula. Listen to a lot of music and try and recreate parts of what your hearing, as said already. With tech house your going to focus a lot on simple basslines and perc loops, with slight variations.
youtube is your friend. watch as many tutorial videos as you can. sonic academy has videos as well.

Step 1. - Get off the forum
Step 2. - Make music
Step 3. - Label it if you want after YOU are satisfied with the result
Step 4. - Realize that no matter how many tutorials you watch you are you and you gotta do you

Re: how to make techhouse?
loads of good tutorials on the net. heres how to create deep house stabs (often used in tech house tracks as well). basically use operator, 2 oscillators using the sawD waveform. lower the coarse to 0.5 on one of the oscillators. make sure the 4 oscillator boxes next to the time knob are in a horizontal line (as opposed to vertical as default)...this is very important. then increase the spread. add a low pass filter and increase the envelope for the filter (to anything over 50%). i also like to use a filter delay (ping pong delay works well too) where the L&R section is off, but L individually and R individually have filter delay. then add some reverb (but make sure u filter the reverb within the settings so its not too harsh. finally group operator and stick all the effects in the group. apply multiple settings to the macro knobs...eg. attack on both oscillators on one macro knob, decay on both oscillators plus the delay time for the reverb on another knob and filter frequency to a third knob.
now create some chord patterns and play with the results. you may find it easier just to use the chord plugin if you are not familiar with good chords to use.
in terms of basslines - a lot of tech house is similar to techno for basslines and very short patterns, often just using a sub bass is required.
