OK - I'm gonna plug some of the artists emerging from the uk dubstep/grime/breaks scene:
VEX'D - new album just out on Planet Mu
Search & Destroy - dark breakstep
DJ Distance
Toasty Boy - sick breaks producer!!
Skream - minimal dubstep - check his forthcoming release on Tempa
Digital Mystikz - pure dubstep, very roots influenced
Slaughter Mob - make some wicked tunes, even better live (2 dj's + 2 mc's)
Burial - recent e.p. on Hyperdub is deeep!
EDIT: the more minimal dubstep has to be heard on a proper system, I never got it till I did... its all about getting absorbed into the bass!!
