I am in desperate need of help. Terrible Soundcloud quality.

I really do not understand why my latest track is a garbled up piece of let down.
I've read about mixdowns and levels and many other things and have crafted my track into something I really like and would actually show people but when I listen to the uploaded Soundcloud my heart breaks into a million pieces and I want to sleep forever.

To let you know a little about this clip, I just decided to upload only the bass sound. I uploaded a 24bit 41.1 file. This is at -18 db on the master channel.

I really want to find a solution to my problem so my life can blossom into a smiling good time free of this sad, pitiful, heartbreak of a sound.

please post some more information, this nothing to go on: what instrument, VST and effects did you use, post the complete song.
Firstly you can switch to rendering in 16bit.

I guess I was so tired last night I forgot to post info on the track.

Below is a 16bit 41.1 wav sample from my track.

My first post, just the bass, was made in massive.(the first sample was 16 bit btw) I stripped everything off of the individual track as well as the master channel.

The track below also has everything stripped from it and it is still making these noises.

When I listen to the regular file it sounds ok, like I want it to sound.

It sounds acceptable everywhere but soundcloud.

i have the same issue. its the encoder. mine sounds like a bunch of clipping incidents related to bass sounds. i could never alleviate my problems.

if the distortion is caused by encoding then try another encoder?
