Deleted presets, oops

So it's late.... mistakes have been made.

In trying to consolidate my Ableton files and library, I tanked my built-in Ableton Live 8 Instrument Rack presets. How can I get them back - download? System Restore?

if there gone and deleted then they be gone and deleted unless you saved the preset to be part of a ableton project in which there just attached to that project and not as a preset on the actual ableton toolbar

check manage files liek you say from drop down and then manage project and see if any of your shit from your current project has been captured there and saved if you saved the, as part of the project.

I said presets, but I think what I meant was that I deleted the instruments and effects that came with Live 8. Synth basses, DJ & Performance Effects, Beat Repeat, etc.

I downloaded the Live 7 Legacy pack, is there a way to re-download the Live 8 instruments and effects?

Aww right well thats different thing altogether mate, emm you need to go to preferences, then libary and then repair libary that will restate every thing to a clean slate, your fx, ableton devices and presets that come with it

Mind its far from perfect and prone to crashing so stick with it, it can take some time

Ya thanks got it sorted out, now on to tackling other bugs like the "Track Volume is awaiting pickup" message when I move certain APC40 volume faders! garr!
