I'm currently running Live 8.2.6, NOT the suite edition. The products page says that to run Max For Live you just need the latest copy of Live. I've downloaded the 30 day free trial but it only opens in Suite mode. I've done a search and there are a few posts that say you can open it in plain old Live but they're from a while back.
Basically I'm asking if I need to be running Live Suite to use Max For Live.
Just want to triple check this before i go spending anything

no, max for live works exactly same in live and suite.
the trial issues are probably just because in live you can only trial everything at once. although i am not sure as i have never used the trial.
max for live will not work with intro, but live and suite both yes.

I'm using mfl since the beginning with ableton live 8 not suite and everything works perfectly......
