SysEx MIDI Dump from Virus -> Live 8.2.5.???

Hi,
I want to save some sounds from my old (but nice) Access Virus A direct into my Live tracks.

Signal path:

Virus - (MIDI) -> MIDISport 4x4 - (USB) -> Live (recording MIDI input)

But nothing happens. I can't record the MIDI data in Live!?

The LED of the MIDISport is flashing up, when I push the 'MIDI dump'-button on the Virus.


Can Live record SysEx MIDI Dumps from hardware synth?

OK, I found the free ware MIDIOX (for PC users). Now I can make the MIDI dump.

But I can't open the files in Live 8. Not as a *.syx or *.mid.

That's so stupid!

However, Ableton shout complete the MIDI implementation in Live! Old synthesisers are always a source for creativity.
