Weird question about MIDI mapping

Post by Tyrexionibus » Sun Sep 25, 2011 2:49 am

Hello

I have a weird question about mapping a MIDI note. What I want to do is.. err.. do you know the CUE button that is on the Pioneer CDJ's ?

Well, I want to create a MIDI note that, as long as it's pressed, will play a song and, as soon as it released, will stop playing.

Is there a way to do this ?

Thanks in advance!

In clip properties, are different launch modes. The manual explains all that. I'd also look at the launch quantization.

I was actually trying to do this the other day. From my experience you have to route the midi into an audio channel. Then change the launch settings of the audio channel to gate. I might be wrong about this though. If you find a way to this from straight midi let me know.
