I just recently starting using the 30 day free trial of ableton, and I have found the learning curve to be quite intimidating? I have a few questions if someone can take the time to answer.
I am more interested in production more than djing live, therefore, what is better "Suite" or just "Live?"
For some reason I can figure out how to expand my new created 4 bar loop, to make it longer? I cant figure out how to see ALL my clips in the midi editor at one time! (this one is frusterating)
When adding notes to the midi editor, I cant seem to figure out how to actually zoom in on the inserted note and make changes(velocity/sound/pan/or add any types of sound machines to alter the note)
When in Arrangement view I understand the concept, however, Im not really sure of how to use it for potential. i.e. I can see the clips and zoom in on the arrangement view, but thats all I can do.
And the last question. I can create drum beats and 4 bar loops as of now. If I wanted to create a full track with intro, basslines, breakdown, vocals, multiple breakdowns, e.t.c. (6-8 minutes track) Is there a way to do this? or do just have to create mutiple loops and then link them all them all together. I would thingk that there is a option to do this easier in ableton?
I know these questions are really basic. I have only used the 30 day free trial for 3 days, and dont know a lick about anything. I have attempted to find tutorials on you tube, however, Im not sure what process im trying to do is technically called, therefore, making the google search harder.
