I'm Dj'ing for the first time tonight. I'm finding that in order to cue the next song correctly, I have to use the mouse to get the song to the right point. Is there a way to do this with the APC? basically, I just want to fast forward and rewind the clip.
Also, sometimes the currently playing clip dissapears from the screen and selecting that track, and pressing the CLIP/TRACK button doesn't bring the clip back. I have to click on it with my mouse to see it again. What's going on here?
Just trying to get a mouse free setup going.

Re: Fast Forward & Rewind Sample (APC)
Read the manual, and search for the word 'scrub'...
Aside from that, as I stated in the other post you made, Live is not DJ software - it's a DAW.
Those who use Live to "DJ" tend to arrange their set/playlist in advance, including cue points etc.

Re: Fast Forward & Rewind Sample (APC)
If you map the track select buttons to the Pie Chart that appears next to the play clip symbol for each track it will then jump to the waveform of the playing track... This will however limit you to controlling 8 tracks...
If this is a problem you'll need a more elegant solution using a remote script i imagine, or max4live....
I've already implemented this feature within the Isotonik Lite device that you can find details on by clicking below or at max4live.com
I'm still wondering how you want to implement the fast forward, if you open midi mapping and find the number box inbetween the left and right scrub arrows you can map this to the crossfader if you don't use it and whizz through clips, they need to be in focus to do so though...
Cheers
