don't want to fuel the maschine lovers/haters threads, but i'm thinking about getting one and have some questions, that some of you, who have the maschine and ableton, can maybe answer.
what i would like to do/have as a working setup is: running maschine as a plugin in abe, having banks 1-7 control the drums/internal sounds of maschine, and having bank 8 work as a midi keyboard sending midi to abe, so i can play vsts in abe, preferably with scales and not chromatic, so here are the questions:
my questions are:
1. when setting up a sound with midi out, is it possible to use a software midi port? meaning not the physical midi out jack on the maschine hardware, but a port that i can use as a midi in in ableton.
2. when setting the sound to midi out, in the manual i reads as if i can only set the midi channel, but not the midi note number for that sound, so is there a way to change the midi note that is send by maschine?
