Controlling Hardware synths?

Post by Caymus Cab » Fri Sep 30, 2011 4:57 pm

Just curious, is there a way to create midi-editors for hardware synths in Max for live? I'm assuming based on the midi cc's that show up in Live's midi clips I can assign a knob/button to them in Max?

Thanks!

My first and only try at m4l was exactly that... so the answer to your question is yes!

Check out this one (I didn't do this but I took it as a starting point for my Roland Juno alpha 2):

sending cc's out is pretty easy - Ableton filters SYSEX which is a pity :(

easy for modern synths, impossible for anything using sysex as ableton stupidly filters them all on input and output,
