Just to get started, I have searched both the forums and the interwebs at large to find answers for these quetions. Please help me. I have a drum rack created for one shot drum sounds. I want to....
A. Create a simpler default that is mapped to the macro control of said drum rack. This simpler default should appear the pad of the rack every time a sample is dropped into it. So that adjustments to the start , deacy, volume etc... can be mapped to the macros of the drum rack so that only that pad ( and thus only its simpler.. ) will be affected when its paramiters are adjusted by the macros. I have only been able to make it work for one pad and one pad only.
B. I have an MPC 1000 I use as a MIDI controller. It only plays a midi note to fire off a pad in the Drum rack mentioned above. My problem is common but i am unclear on exactly how to set up my pads on the drum rack to match the pads on my MPC. I have decided to redesign my workflow, and this shit is crucial. Thank you for your time in advance.

Re: Workflow ideas with drum rack macros and simpler defaults
Ok so I actually have tried that before. Forgot until I started doing it. It doesnt work. Whenever you drag a sample into drum rack and a simpler is created ( even a default simpler from the dropping samples default in drum rack folder ) it can only map its simpler params to the drum rack macros. So if you drop another sample in, its simpler params have to share the macros of drum rack with the first simpler. and so on..its like it needs a drum rack macro set for every simpler. Starting to think the M4L guys have had this fixed with a work around user built device or something. The funny thing is it can be achevied if you were slicing audio to midi. There is a default slice to midi action that will create a drum rack with each simpler set a setof its OWN macro controls in drum rack. But if you want to use individual samples it cant happen. Im telling you I really dont think its possible right now for some reson or other. Lot of reading from old post about this all over the place. No clear answers though. Thanks again.
