Looping 90% done, clip stop buttons now light when a clip is playing in a track and flash when the playhead is within the loop brace and looping.....

Adding in the ability to change the size of the beat jumps on the fly as well thanks to an idea on our facebook page www.facebook.com/IsotonikStudios

Yay, a very long day but the looping is now complete....

When switching into looping mode half of the Launch grid still launches clips the other half controls the looping of those clips, if you move the red rectangle the looping functionality follows so you now have full looping control over every track in your template...

Features...

Serato/Traktor like set quantized to the bar or beat loops of 1,2 or 4 bars in length...

Halve or Double loops by moving the start or end points (choosable from the APC40)

Move Loops forwards or backwards by a bar at a time or by their length

Reduce a set loop in size by the smallest division Ableton will allow using the fader....

Switch loops on and off and get visual feedback of where the playhead is in relation to the loop brace....

In addition we've upgrade the feature whereby a playing clip in a track will make the Clip Stop button light, it will also now make the Clip Stop button flash when the playhead is within the loop brace and loop is set to on....

I'm off to BPM now to play with all sorts of shiny things and do some networking!

Added back in the stepped beat repeat effect, Gater, Reverse and Brake....

Got a scene of assignable buttons to write where you can...

assign a button to any parameter in live

Set its colour for on and off

Set the pressed and released value

Set the time it takes to move between values

Decide whether the button acts as a toggle or momentary....

Includes the faders...

Really see this one as being totally user configurable but i'll be mapping it to some stuff i think will be useful....

After that i'm stuck, got crossfader assignment control to add to the Detail View button and already added the functionality where you can revert back to the original APC40 functionality for the Device Control encoders and move between devices on a track, you can access the first 16 macros....

Got two scenes left with half of the APC40 to give functionality to in each....

What else is there???

I have a neat little zb.launcher on maxforlive.com that triggers different arrangement locators with midi notes....

hope it helps...

Who else has been sick of 4/4 for the last 10 years ??

Thanks, i don't really use the arrange mode unfortunately, everything is focused on session and performing live....

Image

This is for scene 3.... One of these for each of the buttons, and the four faders.... set the on and off value for when a button is pressed, the time in milliseconds it takes to travel in between them (you might want a slow transition to on and a sharp cut to off) and the lighting of the buttons within the clip launch grid....

Mapping is simply click on a parameter in live and then click on a button in the window, this is then saved with your set...

You can even select how the APC40 behave on a momentary or toggle basis, something not currently possible due to there not being a midi editor....

Momentary beat repeats anyone?

So finished scenes 1 and 3.... Added another mode of functionality to scene 2 and still have the Smart effect to add back in....

Next update the manual as the feedback comes back from the beta test group...

Next few nights will be spent building the Live Pack which will install the template and devices preconfigured directly into Abletons library....

Really chuffed to be allowed to do so! Thanks Stefan!!

Nearly finished....

Added the follow and pitch device...

Image

Which triggers the clip below at clip end and copies the outgoing clips pitch to the new one (as you can change the pitch on the fly with Isotonik)

And then resurrected the Smart Effects which now save their presets to the device itself so need no configuring upon opening...

Re: Isotonik 8 - Out Now!!

Pretty much now then mate!!

We're proud to announce the release of Isotonik 8!

Subscribers can download a copy either by using the payloadz download link they received upon subscribing or through the sugarsync shared folder...

Please take the time to read the manual first, as a Livepack the template install directly into your library so there is minimal set up but a number of factors are different to that of Isotonik 7, all of which are explained in the manual...

I'd personally like to thank the beta testers especially Charles Brebant, Marek Pleskac, Daniel Wischmann and Paul Montgomery who have been invaluable in developing the device to the standard it is today...

Remember please download the manual first, we'll be recording a video over the next week which will be uploaded to our new website, we thought you'd like to have a play first.... ;-)
