Hi, I've been trying to run two stereo outputs from an Audio 2 DJ soundcard to two studio monitors with 1/4'' inputs (anyone know if it is acceptable to use normal guitar cables for this? I am concerned about grounding), and I have been having trouble with routing.
I have been setting the Master channel to send to 1/2, and then I set up an Audio Track to monitor "In", get the input from the Master, and send it to 3/4. This works, sort of, but causes a VERY noticeable delay between the two speakers that is extremely disorienting.
Would it perhaps be better to have two tracks that monitor the Master and send to 1/2 and 3/4, and somehow disable the normal Master channel output? Is that even possible? It doesn't seem to have a "Sends Only" option like normal tracks.
Please help me out here, I'm feeling lost and have been considering getting a 1/4'' Y-splitter and just using one output from the soundcard, but I swear there must be a better way. Thanks.

Why do you need four outputs to connect to two monitors?
Your master to channels 1/2 should be plenty. Channel 1 to the left monitor, channel 2 to the right. Or are you trying to connect two pairs of monitors?
As for guitar cables, check your monitor documenation to see if guitar cables are okay to use - on my monitors (KRK RP8 G2s) it was okay, but there was a lot of hum, which I later solved by using balanced cables that I bought from Monoprice because they're quite cheap in the USA (no idea bout international).

Hm, you raise a good point I hadn't thought about. My problem is that an Audio 2 DJ output, say channels 1/2, is one 1/4'' output from the soundcard. The cables it came with plug into the soundcard with a 1/4'' male jack and output a male RCA stereo jack.Warrior Bob wrote:Why do you need four outputs to connect to two monitors?

I'm beginning to wonder if it would be easier/better to plug that stereo RCA output into my DJ mixer, and run the 1/4'' L/R cables separately out of that mixer into each monitor, or to use a 1/4'' Y splitter to get the signal to both monitors simultaneously.
I looked it up in the manual for the monitors, and guitar cables are fine. Thanks for your help, Warrior Bob.

I guess you can alter the track delay of the 3/4 track to make it sound simultaneously

O, and I use a stereo jack to 2 x monojack cable.
