Hi, I'm new to ableton and realise that this question is down to personal work flow, and has been covered many times before, but there are a few gaps I can’t fill in and any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have 4 songs saved as individual projects. I'm wanting to create a master project with all the songs in so I can play them live. I understand the need to keep things simple so the only way I can think to do it would be to go into each song and render each clip as a wav file, that way I'm dealing with audio and not vst's and effects, then arrange all the clips as scenes in a new project with a few master effects for tweaking and a couple of open channels to play along with live instruments or soft synths. Is this a good method or is there a quicker option to get the same result?
Sorry if the question isn't really clear but any opinions would be gratefully received.
Cheers
Compiling a set to play live
Re: Compiling a set to play live
Brilliant site man, nice one! So rendering the clips looks like the way to go. Most of my tunes have around 10 parts (instruments and loops) so I think I'll just render the individual clips instead of grouping them into stems then make the changes with live effects.
Anyone else have any different/similar methods?
I'm getting back to your site now man, thanks again!
