Setting up a mixer in Abelton

Post by Lunax » Tue Sep 27, 2011 10:47 pm

I have the DJ Hercules Mp3 e2 mixer/controller and I just switched from FL to Abelton and I'm still getting used to it and I'm pretty new to making music and setting up hardware. And I need some help on setting up the mixer with Abelton so i can move the crossfaders with the mixer. I think its supposed to show up in the preferences in the midi section but its not there when I plug it in. If you guys could help me out that would be great. Not sure if there is a differences in this but I have the trial because I wanted to try Abelton out.

I'd advise you check out Chapter 25 of the Live User Manual. It begins on page 461.

Firstly: this is User's help exchange, please do not post if you cannot offer help.
Secondly: you're wrong: it's called Ableton Live

@102455 unnecessarily rude, he's just asking for help...

@rdevries thank you for saying what needed to be said

@lunax spend some time in Ableton and I bet you'll come to love it; don't be discouraged from seeking advice on these forums, everyone starts somewhere and the community here is helpful as all hell...well for the most part anyway.
