FCB 1010 Confusion

This is my first time on any Ableton forum so forgive my ignorance. It's also 4:00 AM and I've been up all night. I have been using Ableton Live 8 Suite for quite a while and recently got a FCB 1010. Finally got it working enough to trigger a clip but for some reason I have to press each footswitch TWICE to get it to do what I MIDI mapped the switch to do. Can any of you old pros out there give me a clue so I can finally sleep? Thanks.

Since no one replied I assume everyone must think I'm crazy for such a stupid question. I finally figured it out anyway and wish I could delete the previous post but since I can't ---- please disregard.
