CUDA Support read more - http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_home_new.html

CPU and Nvida graphics card working together to get that CPU usage down :)

64bit

I'm maxed out in live's memory limit. The sampled instruments of today are too large for Live I'm unable to use Electri6ity and Omnisphere at the same time with two guitarss.

64 bit, stable, MFL included. We can call that 8.5

impress me with new arrange view tools. I only use Live so I don't know what I'm missing with other DAWs but from the forum it's pretty clear that Live's traditional DAW editing features are way behind what others offer.

no limit (a dozen is fine) on putting groups within groups.

record automation into clips.

put the freaking timeline back into clip view FFS, why did they ever take it out??

No, that's the Overview. In Live 7 and before, there was a timeline ruler at the bottom of every clip in the Clip Pane, so you could see how long the overall clip was, and identify how long sections of the the song were, You can sort of see it here right below the waveform display:

This was removed in Live 8, for reasons to do with the new warping paradigm. Those reasons honestly never really made sense to me though.

10 control surface options ( atm limited to 6 )

With running several iPad Apps and other midi bits & pieces, this seems like a necessity.

but 7's timeline never changed to reflect the warped file's time. it was pretty much useless with warped files where the tempo was different, so i never really saw the problem of it not being there in 8. if your audio isnt warped, the timeline is still there in 8. unless i'm missing something here..

64 BIT.
Equipments: Softwares, hardwares, plastics and metal controllers, computers, headphones, a pair monitor speaker, and electricity to power them up.

VST3 to make VST3/AU work like live native plugins, else you can side chain already - just route the key track to the side chain inputs on the compressor or whatever you are keying.

Alt+Drag?

Tarekith wrote:Configurable user interface. The layout I use for DJing would be different from what I use for live performance, which is different from session view ramblings in the studio. I'd love the option to put different sections of the interface where I want them, and have them 'snap' together. For instance,

- have more than one clip view visible at a time.

- put the mixer/IO/ section on the left or right side of arrange.

- Browser up top or down below instead of always on the left.

- A set up where I can see the detailed clip waveform AND the effects on that channel at the same time.

- An arrange overview that actually shows you ALL of your arrangement.

- The ability to put send tracks anywhere I want, instead of always on the right side of session view.

Etc.
+1

I've wished for some kind of screen-sets - say CMD+ 1,2,3,4 etc and each one jumps straight to a different view

64-bit native processing. Otherwise I will abandon multicore computers and run my VST's on an Abacus !
