Live 8.0.9
newest version of asio4all
Win 7
says there is a program running that is interfering with asio, but there is nothing running...i got it to recognize asio by uninstalling the stock driver, but it auto reinstalls the stock driver on start up...
and...
even when i got asio going momentarily it would not recognize my external mic jack! wtf?...
every time i try to rec external using Live's sample choices i find it hard to get a setting that will avoid the clipping and cruddy recording...
any thought? anyone?

8.0.9 is over 12 months old and is full of bugs, I'd strongly recommend you upgrade to the latest version first, then come back and ask for help if you still need it.
