Can't Edit wavs in clip view?

Okay, this is weird and it's probably something stupid I'm overlooking because I'm sleep deprived, but... For some reason I can't edit wavs in clip view. There aren't any measure segments, it's just a grey background and the wavform in black. I can zoom in and out, but I can't highlight any of the waveform itself to edit it. Anyone know what the hell I did here?
