multi track recording

Post by shoeshine » Sat Jun 25, 2005 2:30 am

Am trying to record multitrack audio into ableton, but have no idea how to do it. Have been working solo for a while so its not been a problem, but now wanna pwork with live musicians and its doing my head in...

I'm using OSX tiger with live4 and an m-audio 1814. I've played with input config in preferences, but still no good. I'm using coreaudio - do i need to get a different driver? how do i do this?

thank you!

You should be able to figure out how to arm and record an audio track through the 1814... Do the tutorials... search the forum... etc...

But, once you've done that, to arm multiple tracks you're going to have to click on the record button to arm one track, then to arm more you have to press the Apple key and click on the other tracks to arm/record multiple tracks at the same time.

Nose to the grindstone...

you have to press the Apple key and click on the other tracks to arm/record multiple tracks at the same time.
Same thing goes for soloing multiple tracks, a real time saver.

Is it pretentious to quote yourself?
