Let's be straight up here. Logic, Pro Tools, Cubase etc have MIXER views. Ableton has CLIP VIEW. Mixing is an afterthought in Live.
Ableton developers have not taken mixing as a serious concept for Live users and it's a shame. A shame because Live has the potential to take over as the one stop for all professional composition and post production needs.
No support for Eucon, no automation latch and trim features show the lack of commitment to Live as a mixing program. I hope this changes.

Eucon please!!!! Just got my hands on an artist mc mix, but it's not talking with Live, even though I followed the instructions... Anyone had similar problems and found solutions?

You should be able to work with it in Mackie emulation. This might help set it up http://youtu.be/fG1X7i3PAuM (it's for MC Transport but the same basic principle applies).

Re: Euphonix Eucon protocol support
Takk, takk, rationalizer,
Been following the setup of the transport, but still no joy. I get all 4 euphonix ports listed in my prefences, selecting mackiecontrol, but nothing. Not controlling a single track, nor getting any response when moving faders in live... Any help much appreciated...

tried it in a shop yesterday, and it's possible to control volume sliders, pan, select, arm, mute and solo with MCU - thats it!
no device control, nothing.
