Preparing Live set
Preparing Live set
Hello all,
I don't know what it is but I am much to exited for a coming live set on the 26th of November. For a while I left Live aside because Logic was good enough. Now I jumped into Live i am loving it a lot and I got quitte a lot of stuff covered again. I want to perform with my MacbookPro and APC40. For now I have two fundamental questions which are for sure covered here but I was unable to find it.
I want to keep it as simple as possible, so:
1. How do I import several songs (scenes of songs) into one Live set?
2. Should I work only with audio clips or is midi no problem?
Thanks in advance!
Daduk

Re: Preparing Live set
1) Drag and drop audio clips my friend
2) Audio Clips. It will save cpu and take stress off your computer because you wont be running multiple programs at once. you dont want you computer to overload during the middle of your set

Tarekith,
Your Article covers more than I ever could dream of! Thank you, thank you.
One of my questions regarding that article is this. You write
" I do this by assigning the Cue Volume knob on the APC to Live’s tempo field. Generally if I know the next song is at a faster tempo, I’ll slowly start increasing the tempo during the current song to make the tempo changes less noticeable."
I have not mapped anything still from the APC to Live.
I'll tried to assign the cue level knob through the midi mapping activation and key mapping but both did not respond to my fysical adjustment of the knob. So I thought mabe midi learn kind of assignment, but that does not work.
Is this a simple answer or another article?;)
Thanks man!!

Re: Preparing Live set
Make sure you have "remote" for the APC's in and out turned on in Live's MIDI Preferences.
