BPM column in Ableton browser

Post by convex » Thu Nov 03, 2011 5:18 pm

I searched for this feature in this forum but didn't see a previous request.

Having used Ableton since version 1, I have amassed a lot of projects. It would be very useful to have the option to right-click and add an attribute column in the browser for tempo. This isn't a very sexy feature request, but it would be very handy, and presumably not overly difficult to implement.

What say you?

Come to think of it, I'd love to have a column for a brief editable comment or tag in the browser so I could sort by my own attributes.

as i am doing lots of sounddesign, the ability to add tags and to select genres/tags etc in the browser would be very handy. very very handy indeed.

having to rename all your files with incredibly long filenames which includes locations, type of sound, textures, genres etc to have live's browser to be able to search them properly is incredibly stupid. using thirdparty software to handle proper audiolibraries does work, but with a small laptop screen as soon as i step out of my studio, it's just incredibly annoying having to swap back and forth between audio librarians and live all the time -.-

+!

(And +1 for all the AUs/VSTs that could use preset "tagging" with presets... With as amazing as the technology as gotten - I'm still surprised that hardly any plugin manufacturers have implemented some kind keyword or tagging database it's just an XML file for christ sakes - soooo easy to implement !!!!!!
