Unwanted Background Noise With Soundcloud

Hey guys,

So I just started using Ableton Live a few months ago and I just wanted to upload a song to Soundcloud.

However, whenever I do this, it sounds like this

Hear the background noise?

I was hoping anyone can help me out here. I turned off the Dithering to see if that was the problem, but it wasn't. I also tried reducing the bit depth, but that didn't work either. It makes the same noise in both wav and aif formats also. I should also mention that I don't experience this problem when I listen to it in iTunes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Soundcloud does not store or play back the files you upload as you originally uploaded them. It converts them to mp3 first, I think with 192kpbs bitrate. That means that there is always going to be some degradation of sound and that you want to upload the best quality you can so that they aren't converting reduced quality to reduced quality which would result in even more reduced quality.
