question about global transposition

I have a song made up of 6 clips that I trigger sequentially. I want each one to have the ability to be transposed to any key so I have midi mapped the first clip to 12 keys. The problem is when I try to do the same to the second clip, it overwrites the first one's data because you can't have a midi note trigger two things. Can anyone think of a workaround? By the way, I don't necessarily need to trigger the clips via midi keys, I just need to be able to switch their transposition on the fly with the midi keys. Thanks!
