Firefox makes ableton run slow ?

Anybody else noticed this ?
it seems to be pretty regular,when firefox is in the background and ableton is open
ableton almost locks up, if I close firefox hey presto eveything is back to normal.
anyone ?

mac osx 10.5.8 firefox ( newest )
live 8.2.5
the old ones are always the best

Depending on what you're doing with FF (or any browser) it can suck up a ton of memory from buffering, and caching, video and image data. Once you kill the browser then BAM!, tons more memory for Ableton to use without contention.

I have had the same issue before I expanded my RAM.

You can view the RAM-usage in /Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor
