Microkorg XL as external instrument?

Is it possible to sync the microkorg xl to Live Lite 8.1.1? So far I can only use the microkorg as a master however the tempo keeps jumping around ever so slightly. And is it also possible to use the microkorg as an external instrument?
I am connecting it via USB and have set up the microkorg to sync via usb however it doesn't seem to register any incoming signals.

I am running into the same issue...Please post if you find a way, and I will do the same. I do actually have it connected to an AI but cannot get it to recognize in Live...
