Octatrack/Ableton Loop problem

Post by nepotist » Tue Nov 22, 2011 7:41 pm

Hi I am using Ableton to make loops to bring into Octatrack. Works great, except all my loops are twice the BPM they should be when they get into Octatrack. I'm exporting the loop with the audio reference file from Ableton...I'm sure its something simple I'm doing wrong...any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help!

Have a wee look in to bit rates... I think the electron stuff is 16bit - for some reason bit rates can confuse computer!

BPM isn't actually recorded in an audio file. Octatrack tries to guess it. If it guesses wrong, you have to edit it manually.

Interesting...weird that it always seems to guess exactly double though. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong in Ableton, I'll check out the Octatrack site too. Thanks!
