Ableton and 3rd party plug ins

Post by david.barker » Wed Nov 30, 2011 9:58 pm

Hi out there :D

I am new to Ableton, but just asking if you nice people could clear an issue up for me.

Ok, I have been hearing that if you are running Ableton live in Rewire mode,(as in my case with Reason),the 3rd party Vst's are disabled?

If that's right, how can I use these Vst's within Ableton? be it Ableton as standalone or the master

thanks

If I remember correctly, Ableton Live will not host VST plugins when it's run as a Rewire slave. As a master, I believe VSTs work just fine.
