Audio Identification

I'm using ableton live Digidesign version and when I load Ableton it says that my audio is disabled and to go to preferences, audio, and select my soundcard. When I click Audio there is nothing displayed. It's like it doesn't see my sound card. Does any one know why this is happening?

Do you have pro tools hardware?

Are you selecting your pro tools hardware as the input + output?
