I am now having issues with latency. It seems to take half a second between key press to sound being heard. I use "prosunus Audiobox soundcard" i use the ASIO4ALL driver (set to 512 samples / 11ms) 4 gigs of ram and quad core all on windows 7
Now, i think i figured out the issue. I make techno music and use various musical compression techniques to get that techno effect. One being a couple of compressors on the master channel. I have these open as default template which is why i ALWAYS had the latency. But when i remove the two compressors (waves and ableton ones) the latency dissapears.
So i guess my question is, does anybody else have latency when adding compressors to the master... and is there a work around? Maybe adding a pre-master in a send channel and send everything to that..
