How do I trigger a note on key release??
I need to find a way to trigger a sample on release of the keyboard note. I'm triggering one guitar riff on note on, I need to trigger a second on note off. Can anyone tell me how to set this up??

as far as i know there isn't a way. i may be wrong though. why does it have to be launched on the note off? are you limited finger wise so you can't launch the second clip at the same time? or use follow actions? there a few ways to stop one clip and start another.

I'm triggering a rhythm guitar patch from a midi foot controller while I'm playing bass. I need a 2-semitine higher pickup chord to play on the key up and the root to play on the key down. Hey thanks much for the help the other day BTW. I'm under the gun time-wise to get a bunch of songs programmed for use with this system. I cover keys and rhythm guitar etc with foot controller & multi kbd setups from 1- keyboard. (you can thank Geddy for that obsession LOL) That's why all the weird setup configs.

i'm still slightly confused but instead of holding down the pedal for the note on.TrainwreckNick wrote:I'm triggering a rhythm guitar patch from a midi foot controller while I'm playing bass. just set the first guitar riff and the second guitar riff as 2 separate clips and map both of those to 2 separate pedals/buttons. Then launch the first one and when you want the second one to play launch the second. if they're on the same track this should stop the first clip and so you'll only hear the second.

Can't. I have all but three keys assigned. Need to play 1-5-7 progression with 2 notes per chord. have 14 different samples in this song... (headache!!!) I'm sure there must be a way to use midi note off msg as a trigger
