Arrangement View or Session View Video Window

Post by emailrobert » Mon Dec 05, 2011 6:42 pm

I have been using Ableton in arrangement view to play loops and clicks for a known set list. Recently we are adding music song support videos that have the click built in for us to keep in time with the video. My question is what is the best way to use Ableton (or other tools) to do this? So far, I setup all my non-video songs in arrangement view normally, and I put the video on another track separately in session view. I drag the video window onto the second monitor and double click it to go full screen. Then we start the set in arrangement view, and when it is time for the video song, I hit the tab key to switch to session view, I click "off" the red button at the top (three lines and an arrow) so that when I start the video, it doesn't try to play my arrangement songs. That all works. But when I switch back to arrangement view to start the next song (or play any other song for that matter), the video still plays in the video window. Please point me in the right direction or share how you guys are doing this.

Thanks
