Having removed Live Lite 7 and then upgraded by downloading Live Lite 8 I am having problems with the Library, which is described as unavailable when I open the program. I am not able to use the reset function via Options>Library>preferences which is greyed out. Nor if I try to change the Library Path is the problem solved as the message apears, no matter which fokder I nominate, saying 'cannot place in root folder'. I have noted orthers have had similar problems. Can anyone please help resolve this? Thanks

you can check in Preferences->Libray if the library-pack is still present.
If not then click: search for livepacks.
Did you delete the libray folder when you uninstalled LiveLite7?
If so, you can download LiveLite8 WITH SOUNDS from Ableton.

Hi, thanks for your advice. It may well be that my previous Library was deleted, so in case that was so I downloaded a number of Livepacks to install. Problem is that on File>Install>Livepacks the following message appears:
This of course places my options into a Catch 22 position, as it suggests the File Path needs to be changed, unfortunately as I mentioned in my previouis post, when I try to do that another message appears warning that: 'cannot place into root folder'.
I had downloaded Live Lite 8 with Sounds, so given the problems remain totally baffled as to what's going wrong. Any help or solution would be very appreciated.
