Need Help with looper

I am using is as a send channel for tracks i play, the issue im running into is how can i get it so when i overdub it doesnt play the originally recorded material and what im adding, and then when it plays back just the new overdub is there, id like tofigure out a way that when i hit overdub in looper all i hear in that time that overdub is pressed is the new material being added to the loop

i have it set to rec/ovr/stop everything works fine until i have a loop from a track and i want to add in a different part from in the track and it plays 2 stacked loops while overdub is on and it is a volume issue

any help would be lovely
