good tutorial! a few notes:
by adjusting the send amount you are also adjusting the amount of compression. it would be a better idea to mix the volume fader of the return channel if you wanted to keep that amount of compression. also, you don't necessarily want to use an auto filter to cut out the highs. you can do EQ any way you like. many people simply cut out the mids from the channel (make sure EQ8 isnt on high-quality mode as it will cause phase issues)
