Midi Device Search....

Hi There,

I have a very limited space to work in at the moment, a tiny side desk in the corner of a room. I can only get my speakers and laptop on the table and I have my keyboard on a stand at the side. The problem I'm having is that when I want to use my MPD26 or my APC40 because I don’t have the space to have them permanently set up I'm having to close ableton, plug in the controller, and restart, because as soon as you pull the usb out and plug the new device in it doesn't work. I can’t seem to find a Midi device search like you have in Reason. Is this the only work around or am I missing something?

yeh, a 'rescan for midi' button should def be on the wishlist

I take it from your answer that the only way around this is what I am doing at the moment? Close Ableton, plug in device, restart?
