maschine as plugin, How to ?

I need help using maschine with ableton. I watched a couple videos and maschines already there,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WcbjOm1 ... redirect=1 they don't show how they got it there. Then I found this video that showed how(i can't find it now, but it showed how to activate plugins in ableton. When I click on plug-in devices theres nothing there. Also, in the prefernces/file folder area I have nothing says use audio unit, which is what the guy clicked on in the video. So WTF. Anybody know whats wrong with my plugins and why I cant use maschine?

Are you on Mac or pc? Make sure you use the 32 bit version, 64 is not compatible, and will not show up

thanks, that was the problem. I got maschine to work as a vst plugin, but i still don't have the 'use audio unit' option in my pref file folder menu. (so i can't route maschines audio into ableton. Do I have to do something to get it there?

Are you on a pc? How do you mean route audio? As in individual tracks??

yea pc,
from a tutorial that i watched a while back the dude showed creating an audio track in ableton, then went to the inputs for that new track, and maschine was an option for inputs, then there were options for maschine's out, from master, 1, 2, 3, ect. I don't have maschine listed as an input. All the inputs I show are ext. in, reason, max, and I think thats it.

With pc you will not have audio units. There should still be the option to receive inputs from Maschine though. I don't have it on me to experiment with. Try having Maschine in Track 1. Create Track 2. Choose from Track 2 'Track 1' as the input. I imagine the next box following it will offer Maschine channel outputs??

right on, thanks for letting me know that, I thought maybe ableton or maschine was corrupted somehow. How do i put maschine on a track though. I will mess around with that as soon as I can and will post back. Thanks again for the help.
