dunno if this was mentioned, but i just noticed that you can preview unexported midi from within .als files - very cool.

and the cpu usage is a plus: a track that peaked at 67% in 4 peaked at 65% in 5b1 and 60%(!!!) in 5b2.

Remember how both the dFx Buffer Override and the dFX(?) Skidder plugins had problems in live4? Well...

before I wanted to assign pads on my mpc to clips, have the global quantise set to 1/16 say, and hammer out a rythm with the clip restarting each wallop.
But it was too hairy (for me) to try to trigger multiple clips in the regular way afterwards at 1/16, say for a song change that needed 3 clips or more to trigger at once (without using scene triggers) I'd get the timing early or late on one. And changing quantise with the mouse wasn't fast enough.
Now I'll set a knob to global quantise and my ,nerve's shot, sense of rythm
will have some backup

FLAC = 16/44 wav at about half the size basiclly. Some net-labels are starting to release in FLAC as well.

For instance...you could download my electro album in FLAC here...
exp013 - helen keller - electro ohio lp in Lossless FLAC format and load it directly into Ableton for djing/processing/looping. Also looking into including asd files with future releases.
