Creating automation breakpoints without double-clicking?

Is there a shortcut to create automation breakpoints without double-clicking on the line? Specifically, when you've set your cursor somewhere on the grid? I usually try to be exact, and having to repeatedly zoom in when creating automation seems inefficient, especially since the point in time has already been selected on the grid.

Sorry if this question has been answered before; I searched but couldn't find anything.

also key....hold alt in pencil mode

shift drag on a breakpoint toward other breakpoints and you'll see, no joke
