Importing audio from ProTools to Ableton.

Post by Zakaria » Mon Dec 19, 2011 12:41 pm

Hello Ableton users! I have recorded several songs in ProTools with live instruments. Since I did not find time to mix them in ProTools, I'm going to do it in Ableton. Instead of just bouncing a .wav or .aiff file I consolidated each region, went into the audio folder and put all the files on a USB-hub. Everything went well, but here's the problem. When I drag all the files into Ableton it gives all them a different tempo, and some of the audio files are longer then the others, some start at different points and everything is fucked up.
So please, if anyone can help, I would appereciate it! And I apologize if there's already a thread about this, I haven't been able to find it.

Basically, turn off "auto warp long samples" in Live's prefs before you import your stems. But check the whole thread for useful info. Cheers
