routing impulse drum slot to beat repeat but sound changes

Hi,

I'm using an impulse preset (I guess it's a rack w/ impulse & various effects) and I'm trying to route one of the impulse slots (the snare drum only) into beat repeat. I'm able to get it to work- but the sound of the repeated beat is not the snare drum- almost sounds like a closed high-hat. Wondering why that is? (I'm not altering the beat repeat pitch value, fwiw)

Here's my configuration: I've got 2 midi tracks, both of which are routing into the impulse track: 1 for snare activity and 1 for drum activity. From there, I created a new audio track with only beat repeat and I set the top "Audio From" to point to the Impulse track, and the bottom "Audio From" to point to the snare.

Like I said, I think it's working but the output from beat repeat doesn't really sound like the snare. Any ideas?

Sounds like it's the placement of your repeat offset in Beat Repeat. I can't think of the name of the dial (it might be offset) I think your routing is fine, just turn some knobs in beat repeat until you hit the spot.
