I can run Griid, KapturePad, Lemur and TouchOSC all in the same time and use it, with no problems, errors and it is perfectly stable. All over Wi-Fi trough my router, using PC with Win7.

Someone asked Lemur or Touchable, i prefere Lemur, but because things i do.

I read on another forum that you can jailbreak the iPad but being brand new and under AppleCare
I prefer not to do this at this time...
Any other thoughts folks..?
I have camera connection adaptor. How would I connect this to at least gat a keyboard to work with it?

Ok here's where I'm at.
I've read that there's a good chance that I can get the synthstation25 to work
with the iPad using an extender cable female to male iPad connector.
Hopefully then I can send and play back midi from Live.

that does a few options..this is a 46cm M-F dock extender cable,about $13.00 us
I've sent for one and we'll see how it goes..

I'm trying a Carillon m1x1 USB to midi interface via the camera adaptor,then midi in to
Axiom49 then out to main midi interface(mt4).
Yes the axiom played the Eden synth from Nanostudio ok and could record midi into Live
But couldn't get Live to play back notes.
Has anyone used one of these Carillons..?..maybe I should return it.

Some of the other synths wouldn't play..Akai ss had stuck notes,nLog made this Hi pitched squeal..
May have something to do with the fact that apps with core midi work ok..or some app or Live setting.
It's all a bit new int it..?
Anyway if the extender cable works I'll be happy.will let you know how it goes.

Does anyone know if Lemur iOS can be used over USB without jailbreakin.? (like Touchable)

As for mixing/fx/performance control I'm resigned to using wifi
But which one..Lemur,Touchable or Grid..er..umble?
Again.. any further pointers appreciated.

the Lemur app will definitely work over USB MIDI with a stock iPad/iOS.

..so I bought Lemur and yes I got it working on the iMac both wireless and USB midi,send and playback.
I connected the carrillon m1x1 midi out to in port 2 ...of mt4
Then m1x1 midi in to out port 4..of mt4
The Axiom49 midi out to in port 1 of mt4
Then connect th m1x1 to the iPad via the camera connector.
Hey presto..no more midi loops causing stuck notes,and synstn,nLog,etc work ok.

Make sure you set up the prefs in Live.
there are some good vid tutorials on the Lemur site.
With USB midi I used value scaling but on wifi I used pickup.(or was it the reverse)..Hey play with it.

Haven't got everything working on the Macbk pro yet.. USB midi is ok but haven't got wifi fully working (Lemur works,not ss25 playing Nanostudio...do I need to go from 10.5.8 to 10.6..?
Otherwise I'm satisfied I got it working fully on the iMac.
Hope this has been a help to anyone doodling with this iPad control thang.
